Can I control my KASTA devices when not at home or do I need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network?

To control your devices remotely you will need to have a KASTA-CCGW Cloud Connect gateway installed onto your KASTA network.
You do not need to be on the same Wi-Fi network to access these remotely.
